A Marathon for Manorlands

Story

I am running the Edinburgh Marathon on 29th May 2022.

Truly like a fish out of water, I have gone from an occasional Parkrun runner, more comfortable in the pool than on foot, to challenging myself to 42.2 long km in an effort to raise money for an incredibly deserving cause.

I will be raising money for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice and the team of doctors, nurses and care givers that devote their time day in, day out, to provide support to families going through the unthinkable.

Recently, one of my best friends lost their fiancé, who sadly passed away after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Manorlands Hospice and the Sue Ryder team were an invaluable support to Chris, Elle and their families and showed the upmost compassion throughout this heartbreaking time. I would love to raise as much money as possible so they can continue with their hard work and devotion, in memory of Chris.

The marathon will be the biggest challenge of my life so far, but one that I am determined to complete for this worthy cause. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and go a long way in supporting this wonderful charity and all the families they support in our local area whilst they are going through the most devastating time of their lives!

Let’s all remember to live “The Life of Riley” 💙🚴🏼
